Learns your website, stays fresh

An assistant that learns your whole website — and keeps up with it

AskAI reads the public pages of your website once you have confirmed it is yours, then keeps watching for new pages, edits and pages you take down. You never upload documents or write a knowledge base by hand.

At a glance

  • Reads your public pages, following your sitemap and your own links
  • Respects robots.txt and anything you mark as off-limits
  • Notices new, changed and removed pages on its own
  • Re-learn any page now: paste its address and it is read straight away
  • Your own written answers always win over what it read
  • See exactly what it has learned about any page

How it reads your site

After you confirm the website is yours and the script line is live, the assistant starts reading. It uses your sitemap and the links between your pages to find everything public, and it follows the rules in your robots.txt file, like a well-behaved search engine.

It keeps only what it needs to answer questions: the text of each page split by heading, the page title and address, and structured details your pages already publish (for example business details, products or listings). Photos stay on your website; it keeps links to them, not copies.

Fresh answers, not a snapshot

Websites change. Prices move, services are added, old pages are taken down. AskAI re-reads pages on its own, more often for pages that change a lot and for pages visitors ask about. A page that disappears, is set to noindex or redirects away is dropped and never quoted again.

Before it quotes a page in an answer, it can take a quick fresh look at that page, so a change you made this morning is not answered with yesterday’s version.

  • New pages are found through your sitemap, your links and the pages your visitors open.
  • Changed pages are re-read; small things such as dates and counters are ignored so they do not look like real changes.
  • Removed pages stop being used at once.

Your visitors help it notice changes

While visitors browse a confirmed website, the assistant notes which public pages were viewed and whether they look different from what it learned. That is a signal to read the page again sooner. It never reads what visitors type into forms, and pages viewed while a visitor is signed in to your website only tell it the page address and title.

You stay in control

  • Check any page: paste an address from your site and see whether it was learned, when it was last read and whether it has been used in answers.
  • Read it now: just changed something important? Ask for that page to be read again straight away and it jumps the queue.
  • Leave things out: exclude a page, a whole section (for example everything under /staff/), or a part of a page by adding data-rtai-ignore to it.
  • Write your own answers: add questions and answers in your own words. They are used first, before anything read from the site.

Questions

Do I need to upload files or write a knowledge base?

No. It learns from the public pages of your website. You can add your own questions and answers if you want to say something exactly your way.

Will it read private or members-only pages?

No. It reads public pages only. Account, cart, checkout, login and similar pages are never learned, and pages viewed while someone is signed in to your website are only noted by address and title.

What happens when I delete a page?

Once the page is gone (or set to noindex, or redirected off your site) it stops being used in answers.

How big a website can it learn?

Most business websites are learned in full. If your site has many thousands of pages, contact us before you start so we can tell you what to expect.
